Waystations on the Management's Search for Suitable Ideas and Toys for VSF Adventures
A selection of sources for ideals and "toys" usable in Parroom Station adventures as well as other Victorian Scientific Fictional escapades. As fine as some of these "toys" can be, don't neglect actual toy stores, especially discount operations, as a source of cool (and often cheap) versions of things that (with just a little work) can be the very float ship or battle strider you want.

Major-General Tremorden Reddering's Colonial Wargaming Page
Not a store, but the Major-General's site is a valuable resource nevertheless. A seminal inspiration and perennial favorite of Station Management. The Major-General's site offers a wealth of useful material for "doing it yourself," especially for those gaming on a budget.
Brigade Games
Besides being the manufacturers of Parroom Station Minatures figure line, they are the producers of the official G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. figures. They carry a number of other ranges that have the occassionally useful goodie as well.
Scheltrum Miniatures
Notable for its Ironclad Empires line with its assortment of Steam Tech style vehicles and its Aethyr troopers and equipment. Station Management especially likes the look of the Tunneling Machine and the HMLS Nestor.
Copplestone's Castings
Now one can Return to Darkest Africa directly in the company of the sculptor who took you there in the first place. You might even find something useful in the Back of Beyond.
Wargames Foundry
Adventurers and troops abound, especially from Darkest Africa.
Pulp Figures
Strictly speaking these characterful figures from two-fisted Sculptor Bob Murch are past our time, but some are timeless (or maybe just ahead of our time as any good mad scientist ought to be.)
Dixon Miniatures
Station Management especially likes their Dahomey line of Foreign Legion troopers in tropical campaign kit.
Wargames Factory
Their plastic multi-pose 28mm British regulars can really fill out a battalion.
Empress Miniatures
Their Anglo-Zulu war range offers a number of useful British regulars.
Old Glory
For rough-and-ready masses of Colonial and Territorial troops, here's a ofttimes good source. Their Boxer Rebellion is an especially wide-ranging line covering the forces of the Colonial Powers.
Reviresco
Station Management would be remiss in not directing you to check out the Martian war machine, even though the octopoid operator is not quite one of our Cephalids.
RLBPS
An importer of numerous figure and scenery lines, notably an importer of Copplestone Castings. They also carry their own Dazed Minatures line of animals, both modern and prehistoric. We're sure you can think of something to do with those.
Askari Minatures
A source for a wide range of unusual colonial-era troops, especially French forces in rough-and-ready 28mm.
Tiger Minatures
Another source for rough-and-ready 28mm colonial-era troops, with an emphasis on German, Dutch, and American.
The Boneyard
For sources of suitable goodies, now - alas - no longer able to supply us with fodder for our fantasies.
The London War Room
Once a source for flying ships, landships, and for the guns and fittings for them (from the Weapons for Gunboats that Float and Fly line) as well as the manufacturer of Parroom Station Miniatures.
The Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company
Alas, not the source it used to be, as they have abandoned out beloved 28mm scale.
